The village of Callas is located at the heart of the var, halfway between the coastline and the Gorges du Verdon, Callas is known for its olive mill which produces the tasteful oil from the many olive groves that can be found in this varied landscapes. Callas and its surrounding has an unexpected beauty, like Gorges de Pennafort with its red color that contrasts with the green of pine forests.
Upon your arrival at the village, you will discover the narrow alleys, cobbled streets, arched passageways and admire the old gates, fountains and other features. On the heights of Callas you enjoy a magnificent panorama of the Esterel and will see the sea in the distance.

Cycling: As a cycling destination, it is a fantastic area to discover for tourists of all levels, from beginners, to those who might fancy a shot at the Tour de France. Cycling in the Var is fairly easily accessible. In total there are 22 paths to follow, ranging from by the coast to further north near the Gorges du Verdon.
